The Medal for the Military Fighter of the War 1940-1945

The medal's obverse shows a Roman sword, point upward, on the vertical cross arms. On the horizontal cross arms are the dates "1940" and "1945". A rampant lion, symbolising Belgium, stands on the reverse. Instituted as late as 19 December 1967, it was awarded to all who served in the Belgian armed forces in Great Britain during the war.
